nods.. I heard this on a commercial tonight.. for a canned soup. May Help Lower Cholesterol *rolls my eyes*…. here is a totally at random chosen canned soup.
eating something like this may lower your cholesterol… breaks out into uncontrollable giggles.
okies.. from Harvard: “Different foods lower cholesterol in various ways. Some deliver soluble fiber, which binds cholesterol and its precursors in the digestive system and drags them out of the body before they get into circulation. Some give you polyunsaturated fats, which directly lower LDL. And some contain plant sterols and stanols, which block the body from absorbing cholesterol.
Just as important, a diet that is heavy on fruits, vegetables, beans, and nuts is good for the body in ways beyond lowering cholesterol. It keeps blood pressure in check. It’s good for bones and digestive health, for vision and mental health. “
so I guess that this soup (oh no not the one in the picture, I said it was chosen at random.. is just a tinned soup) if you eat it, it will help you lots because of the .. uhm.. great amount of veggies in it… *tries to nod convincingly*.
gawds.. you can make a soup from scratch just as quickly as you can open a tin and heat it.. please give your heads a shake and try that. If you chop your veggies fine they will cook very quickly, you can add some soup stock and presto.. is home made soup. toss in some beans and you are really starting to eat healthy as beans are super foods..
and veggies that are not over cooked and mushy are better for you than something stored in a tin for gawds knows how long….
thinks some labels stretch things too far and should not be allowed. (reminds everyone that this image was chosen at random)
*takes away your can openers* if you want soup, make it, not open a tin and heat it.. look on the internet for soup recipes.. or ask me how to make soup, I won’t make fun of you, it is so easy to do and tastes so much better.. and is fast..
try to eat healthy please, we don’t get second goes at this you know, and perhaps some claims that have “may” in them should be considered for what they are worth.. eating rocks may make you younger, eat lots of them… gawds.
eating healthy is just as easy and just as inexpensive as eating poorly.. and just as fast. I see a lot of students that do not eat well.. to save money or time.. and they save neither. I find it terribly frustrating when advertisers make silly claims and people believe them…
