children of all ages

Today while grocery shopping we watched a little boy with his mother, he was sooo cute. She told him what she was looking for and of course being a man  he went to pick something completely different.. lol. but she was so patient.

Every so often we want to hear the little tap of feet charging through the house.. exploring and getting into mischief, and then we watched that patient mother running full speed up the aisle of the store yelling out his name in that voice that only mothers can do.. as we all cringed and were ready to do what ever she asked.. lol.  finally we saw her bringing him back.. tugging on his arm.. smiling at us.. “he is so fast” and then we re-think it.. gigggles.

But right now I am thinking of an older child.. well not really child, but perhaps teenager.

Nods.. we will miss you Mr. Clarke.   Americas oldest Teenager.

New Years Eve will never be the same.

*hugs*

  1. Hubby just told me about his passing. And well, I have to admit he didn’t look good for the New Years ball dropped and lasted longer than I thought he would after his stroke. But The New Years ball drop won’t be the same without him.
