Innocence stolen

halfmast_Canadian_flag

Innocence lost
taken so quickly
robbed, stolen
senseless

The seasons changing
leaves green to golden
tears of rain falling
forever lost from sight

Glorious sunrises
inspiring awe
sunsets settling
never to be seen

Laughter
singing
discovering
no more

Innocence remaining
forever it will be held
all the tiny faces
only memories now

Sadness indescribable
shared by the world
families torn apart
forever their pain

my heart is crying

  6. Beautifully written Amber.. an indescribable and senseless act.
Ban guns and hope that this maybe the answer – the time has come for it not to be so ‘I have the right to bare arms’. Fortunately we do not experience massacres here as you do over there, or other parts of the world. Apart from the underground criminals the only ones who have firearms our farmers.

They will never see the light
or the sparkles on the trees
They will never have the hugs
    from those who love them

No ring a ring a rosy
    No laughter Christmas Day
Just parents who are deep in grief
    It shouldn’t be this way

My thoughts are with you and with the families who have lost there treasured babies.
    xx
